I bummed BLWNGSRs stock fuel pump (I have a 97 HB and he has a 95-96 4D GSR) to take out my Walboro HP pump but and my fuel pressure at idle (nothings disconnected) went from 50ish to low 40. The Acura Dealer told me it should be 38 or so stock. What do you guys see with the stock parts? I'm also getting some noise from my transmission which I never got before and 5th gear is "popping out" literally when I'm driving. What a freaking nightmare this put back has been frown. Anyone with feedback on any of this is greatly appreciated.

I have my OE pump back in after trying to work out some issues with 380 injectors and my idle pressure dropped as well. With the OE pump I see around 38-40 psi at idle also. My manual also confirms that it should be in that range stock.

As far as the tranny goes it doesn't sound good but I would have a good look at the shift linkage and related bushings before I assumed the worst. My mother in law's Accord just had some shift related problems and it was all in the linkage. Popping out once it's in sounds like a shift fork or similar internal part. Bummer.

I haven't had a chance to finish up the car yet but I do know that my fuel pressure is still too high. Its about 44-45 PSI at idle. What can cause this? A few people said vacuum leaks so far. Anyone recall what the vacuum should be at idle and under throttle? I can't seem to find that information in my helms.

The actual main problem I'm trying to fix is that the tach goes nuts at high RPM eventually and jumps around. The car also acts weird when under hard throttle. The tach will slam past 8k rpms to where 10k would be and the car sometimes feels like its missing. I did splice the wiring harness at the distributor but we reconnected them with butt connectors and used electrical tape to cover them to make sure they don't short. Any ideas where another short could be that would cause this funkiness?

I found out why I was missing. The main engine wiring harness' ground was loose at the bolt so it wasn't grounding properly under high vibration. Its fixed now and the car runs smooth smile. The fuel pressure is still too high but I can live with that.

My transmission is f'ed for sure. Its being rebuilt. The person who reinstalled the engine for me (since I had no time to do so) made mistakes and caused the problems and broke parts. I can get the rebuild free but the parts are a little over 100 bucks so far without bearings (if they're needed at all).

Just wanted to share what I had found for future references. Gotta love the little annoying problems you can run into.
